This is an opportunity for students to get involved with their School Board, so that change is ensured and catered to the needs of Black students. 

Task: Attend at least  (1) school board meeting (addition attendance receives more points)

Begins: January 1, 2018 

Submission Deadline: May 7, 2018 

Entry fee: $5 per school 

Reward: TBA

Black Culture Awareness Month

What better way to celebrate our culture and honor our ancestors, than Black History Month?! 

Task: Set-up a booth at school that both provides awareness of the Black culture and education of our roots.

Begins: February 1, 2018

Submission Deadline: March 9, 2018 

Entry fee: No

Reward: Points

Black History in the Making: A Showcase Event

The stage is being set for our students to showcase their talents while honoring the victories of our people and expressing intellect, style, and Black excellence through art.

Date: February 15, 2018 at Centre Plaza, 8:30m - 11:00am

MODESTO CITY SCHOOLS DISTRICT WILL BE TRANSPORTING MCS STUDENTS

Stanislaus County NAACP Black Graduates Recognition Ceremony 

This is the time when our community gathers together to honor and celebrate our Black graduates in their accomplishment! We are grateful that the NAACP Modesto Branch has brought this to our communities for 23 years! Each senior graduate receives a Kente Stole

The points attained will be multiplied by the number of students participating
